Once Upon A Time

Hey Everybody,

I hope everything and everybody is doin all right. I'm kind of excited! I bought a little inexpensive machine yesterday. A mini-doughnut maker. I'm soooo anxious to try it! I've been reading the different recipes, but I have to go to the store for a few supplies first.

I'll let you all know how it goes on Chow Time. I'll take pictures, bad or good. You just never know how good or bad it's gonna be, if you know what I mean.

In the meantime.....................

Well, I did it! I included some pictures and especially one of a half eaten doughnut. That proved it was edible, and I'm not just saying that either. Sometimes I love new experiences! The house smells of baking tonight and it really reminds me of the Christmas season. I've a feeling I'm going to be breaking that bad boy doughnut maker out pretty often. Here's a little ditty I want to share with all of you.

Christmas was coming,
And all thru the town,
Not a chimney was burning,
Waiting for him to come down.
I made extra cookies,
I poured extra rum,
I thought he might need
Some warmth for his tum.

Dawn's light came too early,
And I stumbled from bed,
Visions of elves,
Danced in my head!
I peered out the window,
And what did I see?
A sleigh in the front yard,
All broken and in need.

I remembered the rum,
And Santa's good cheer,
I then spotted Santa
On his plump derriere.

In the annals of history,
Down this would go,
Santa got a bit tipsy,
And lost his Ho Ho.

Sometimes we have to laugh to make it through what can be a stressful season. Hope it gives you a smile.
