Goodness me, I hope you all are settled down from Super Tuesday. I've thought about it all day today and I still don't know which direction we're going, BUT!
I have some opinions, and unfortunately I'm going to share them. Before I begin, I apologize if I offend anyone, but this is from the jumbled mess of thoughts in my mind. Sometimes the halls are quiet and empty, but not tonight.
Rick Santorum carried Oklahoma. I'm totally surprised. I believe people appreciate his moral values, but I don't feel he's been that great a congressman. Moral values are important in a President, but you need more qualities than that to run a country. Did he really vote for the bridge to nowhere?
Is anyone but me questioning the fact that he was way down the list, way down in the valley with Ron Paul and now he's carrying states in the primaries? Me thinks something is smelly here.
The media is going on and on about Mitt Romney not relating to the people because he's so rich. What's so different about this fact? Most Presidential candidates are fairly wealthy or they couldn't run for this high office. Don't get me wrong, Mr. Romney is probably just like the rest, he'll say anything to get elected, then tinkle on you.
Ron Paul is another interesting contender. Where is his money coming from? Isn't he a sitting lawmaker of the U.S? Is he showing up in Washington, DC at all? He's got a few good ideas, but he wants to banish all war. I don't like war either, but sometimes it's a fact of life. Some aren't necessary. Iraq wasn't necessary. I wonder why he's staying in the lineup? Sometimes he makes sense, then he says something totally kooky.
Newt Gingrich. He's intelligent and he can talk fast. He's smarter that most and I believe he could be a President of the people BUT! His stance on illegal immigrants made my trust meter go haywire. He said the U.S. needed to find a way to let the illegals that have been here for thirty years stay in this country. Why? They broke the law of the land and even the Bible tells us to obey the laws of the land.
I don't believe this country can take another four years of the President we now have. We're broke and overrun with illegal immigrants. Jobs are tough to come by, fuel is too high, food prices keep going up and up.
I don't say everything I actually feel, because you never know who's reading and watching anymore. If anyone can read my mind, have at it. There's goofy mixed with happy, and sad mixed with worry. If anybody wants a piece of it, just let me know.
Let's see what the next primary or two brings in the way of decisions on a candidate. We have to have someone that's electable and we need to pray that people will wake up and hear the call of our country sinking into an abyss of failure.
Until Later,
Okie Girl @ Home
So when is someone Kooky? Do you feel good about the way the government spends our hard earned money, or no knock searches. Are you here to serve the government?
ReplyDeletePeople don't live long enough to know how to be a well balanced president or dictator.
What purpose does it serve to attach Iran who is a threat to no one, as with many other countries.
I'm replying to Opinionateit. Seems I pushed a button with my view of Ron Paul. That's just it, it's my opinion. Doesn't make it fact.
ReplyDeleteNo I don't agree with the way the taxpayer's hard earned money is spent. I don't understand your comment about living long enough to be a well balanced president or dictator.
Last but not least, Iran is a threat to every country if they develop nuclear capabilities that can be utilized in missiles. There is great risk for any radical regime to be in possession of nuclear warheads.
If you believe they aren't a threat, then go live in Israel and see how threatened you feel then.
