Inside My Jumbled Mind

Ho Ho Ho!

I did make it back before Christmas. I've been getting the house all spiffed up for company. Don't you just wish you could go live somewhere else until after the company arrives?

I'll tell you upfront, I forgot another city council meeting, so I'm falling behind on details. Sorry one more time.

I had some free time, so I've been working with Miley again on her speech therapy. The free time is understandable since I forgot the council meeting. She was laying on the couch on her green blanket and I just happened to sit down on the floor in front of the couch. She started growling at me, wanting me to play with her like her dad plays. I know, I know! We''re totally unreasonable where this chi, I mean dog is concerned.

I told her I would play with her if she would say "Mama". I faintly heard the next growl come out in a low drawn out, "Maaarrrm". I just kept repeating Maaarrrm over and over as I looked directly into her eyes.
She cocked her head to one side and rared up on her front legs and gave a shrill, high pitched bark. I concluded she was definitely ready for recess. She was so tired after our session she cuddled up with dad on the couch.

I know she understands, and one of these days she's going to surprise me, maybe on my birthday and say, "Mama". Then I'll call Jimmy Kimmel and see if we can go amuse him on his television show.

Tomorrow I have to get serious about baking, oh and by the way. I did a test run on the Vinegar Pie I mentioned the other day. Welllll, I didn't think it was so great and tool man definitely snurled his nose at my effort. It reminded me very faintly now, of Lemon Pie, but it was weak tasting with a hint of vinegar flavor.

I'm just not a Cordon Bleu cook, but I can fake a French accent anyway. I think I hear the cookie jar calling my name. I made cookies yesterday and now I'm tormented by the aroma every time I walk into the kitchen.

I'll share with you all an easy way to bake cookies, just click on the "Tips" tab at the top of the page.

Happy Christmas Jesus and the same to all my friends.

Until Later,
Okie Girl @ Home
