I laughingly said all day Friday that we were in a hurricane. We got a little bit of rain from Isaac, but no wind or flooding. I guess I shouldn't have joked about it, considering all the unfortunate people that are dealing with property loss and flooding, but we were so glad to get a little bit more rain that our spirits were light.
Just getting started earlier Friday
The leaves on the tree were barely moving
The dead grass is coming back to life, but this rain was no
barn burner, so to speak.
Then I went to the back door and looked
A little bit of fog down toward the creek
I panned around and looked toward KAMO Electric and
saw some fog and mist
Then I thought it would be neat to get a picture of the water drops
dripping from the awning over my back door. Well, obviously you
can't see them, but they're dripping, slowly, small drops, one or
two every minute or so. Oh, forget it, trust me, they're there.
Conclusion of this story is, I thought I was going to get to report some wind and heavy rain from Hurricane Isaac, but all we got was heavy mist, then heavier mist off and on all day. Sorry, no great big hurricane story from northeast Oklahoma.
Sadder still, it's supposed to be back in the upper 90's this weekend here, so the cool misty rain will be a short lived memory for us.
Until Later,
