It's a lazy Sunday afternoon and my ambition level is minus 5, if you know what I mean. I keep thinking I need to do some extra cleaning and changing here in the house, but.........
That's as far as I've taken the subject. I have been paying attention to television and all the decorating on the walls of homes and apartments. Now the modern clean line objects with no fru fru are popular. You know what I mean by fru fru? Here's an example in this picture. I'm still into greenery and swags and I know they're over, but they make me feel good.
This is a wall in my kitchen.
I want to change it, but it still makes me feel good when I look at it. I'm a die hard fan of greenery. I think I need extreme makeover help, but I think they've cancelled that show, so maybe my daughter will take mercy on me and give me some ideas for modernizing my walls.
Here's another example of clutter. My glassware cabinet in the corner.
Some of my trinkets have been gifts, some belonged to my mother and grandmothers, some of them I just bought myself cause I liked them. Now I need motivation to clean and shine them. I told tool man last week I was going to clean out my glassware and downsize. He rolled his eyes. He didn't think I saw him, but I did.
I've turned into a pack rat and I don't see an intervention in the works. I even laughed at myself last week as I was sitting at the counter I spotted some salt and pepper packets lying there, leftover from a carry out meal. I promptly picked them up and dumped them into my salt and pepper shakers. OMG! I have become my mother and grandmother!
At least I've made note of the job to come, then I can hold myself to doing the changes and updating y'all. Oh by the way, did I mention not to hold your breath? Well don't.
